Cinematic wedding films across Europe, without the staging
You want beautiful images, but you also want to enjoy your wedding. I film discreetly, looking for natural gestures, conversations and moments you may have missed. I’ll offer direction when it helps, but never ask you to recreate an emotion. I document traditional wedding days, multi-day wedding celebrations and destination elopements. Whether we are in Tuscany, on the French Riviera or in the Scottish Highlands, the approach follows your personalities and the experience you have planned.

From our first conversation to your final film
- Most couples I work with are planning their European wedding from abroad. We start with a call about your plans, the people who matter to you and how you would like to remember the celebration.
- Before filming, I review the timeline and coordinate with your planner. During the wedding, I work discreetly. Afterwards, I personally edit every film, including its narrative, music, sound design and colour grading.

Two approaches to wedding filmmaking
Some couples want a film that tells their personal story. Others prefer an elegant record of the celebration itself. I offer both approaches, with real Super 8 as an additional format.
Narrative wedding films
- A narrative film goes beyond the wedding day. I may use interviews, family archives, letters, vows or speeches to explore your relationship. Sometimes we spend time together on another day, doing something that means something to you. The story takes shape in the edit, connecting moments that may have happened days or years apart. Find out how I create wedding films through storytelling.
Classic and timeless wedding films
- My classic films concentrate on the celebration: its atmosphere, emotions, people and setting. They combine natural documentary moments with carefully composed images. Music, real sound and editing give each film its rhythm, without requiring interviews or an elaborate personal backstory.

Authentic Super 8 wedding films
Real film, not a digital effect
I also offer genuine Super 8 wedding films, shot on Kodak motion-picture film. Its grain, colours and movement have a character of their own. Super 8 can stand alone or complement a digital wedding collection. I especially enjoy filming relaxed moments, excursions and the quieter parts of a wedding weekend.
Wedding videography collections and investment
- Wedding day collections. A single-day wedding can cover preparations, ceremony, reception, speeches and evening celebrations. Depending on your collection, you may receive a cinematic highlight of around 3 minutes and a longer film, often around 15 minutes, in a private online viewing gallery. We choose the films and filming hours together before you book.
- Multi-day wedding collections. For a wedding weekend, I can film your welcome dinner, ceremony, pool party, excursion or farewell gathering. We select the moments that matter instead of documenting every scheduled hour. For Ally and Parker’s elopement in Noto, Sicily, a 2 day wedding, we also filmed a visit to town and personal family letters shared the next day.
Wedding film collections start at €5,200. Each proposal is tailored to your destination, the number of filming days and your chosen films, with travel costs detailed in advance.
Additional films and creative services
You can add a full ceremony film, speeches, RAW footage, authentic Super 8, drone coverage where permitted, or a second cinematographer. Every proposal specifies filming days, hours, deliverables and travel costs.

Why choose Europe for your destination wedding?
Europe offers very different wedding experiences: a château in Provence, a Tuscan estate, a villa on Lake Como or an intimate ceremony in the Scottish Highlands. The choice affects where guests stay, how they travel and which events can fit into the weekend.
Many couples organise a welcome dinner, local activities and a farewell brunch so that guests travelling from abroad have more time together. Consider the season: Southern Europe can be very hot in summer, while the Alps, Scotland and Iceland require more flexibility with weather and access.
Legal marriage requirements depend on the country and the couple’s circumstances. Some couples hold a symbolic ceremony in Europe after marrying civilly at home. Check the EU’s official marriage guidance and confirm the rules with local authorities.

Planning a multi-day destination wedding in Europe
A wedding weekend gives you more time with the people who travelled to celebrate. I can help identify events worth filming and suggest experiences that suit your destination, whether that is a boat excursion, a private gathering or an unhurried afternoon at your villa. The aim is not to film every minute, but to preserve what makes the weekend yours.
I work with your planner to consider realistic travel times, natural light and moments when you would rather be with your guests than away making pictures. For practical advice on timing, welcome dinners and additional events, read my destination wedding weekend planning guide.
