Your country of residence does not determine the price. What matters is the wedding you are planning in France: its location, schedule, number of events, filming team and final films. I regularly work with couples planning from abroad and coordinate in English with them and their wedding planner.
Film length is only one part of the work. A short film still requires preparation, filming, careful sound recording, footage selection, editing, colour grading and sound mixing. Its price also reflects the coverage needed to tell the story. A longer edit or a complete ceremony film serves a different purpose, so it is worth comparing the actual films and deliverables rather than minutes alone.
A welcome dinner, ceremony, wedding day, boat trip or farewell brunch can all become part of one film. Additional events require more filming, planning, sound recording and editing, but they do not always need continuous coverage. I build the proposal around the moments that matter to your story. Your proposal states the total price including applicable VAT and identifies the travel and accommodation arrangements for the agreed dates and locations. If the itinerary or coverage changes later, I discuss any price adjustment with you before revising the agreement. You should be able to compare a complete price, without guessing which expenses will appear afterward.
Not every wedding needs one. A second filmmaker becomes useful when preparations happen at the same time in separate locations, events overlap, or a ceremony or large celebration calls for additional coverage. I recommend the team according to your schedule and explain what the second person would make possible before including them in the proposal.
These are different deliverables from a cinematic highlight or a longer edited film. Selected words from a ceremony or speech may appear in the main film without that event being delivered in full. If you want complete ceremony and speech edits, or the original camera files, tell me before booking. I will specify exactly what is included and what is available as an option.
They can be added to a proposal when they suit the celebration. Real Super 8 film involves separate film stock, processing and editing. Drone filming depends on the venue, airspace, permissions, weather and conditions on the day, so an aerial shot cannot be guaranteed in advance. I will state the price and conditions of each option clearly.
Once we have agreed on the dates, coverage and films, I send you a contract and payment schedule. The usual schedule is 30% to secure the booking and the remaining 70% on the wedding day. Your contract confirms the exact amounts and due dates for your celebration.
