The Story of Sam & Zarah
This is not just a wedding film.
It is Sam and Zarah’s story, told through images, sound, and real moments.
Before the wedding day itself, we took time to write their story together. Three dedicated writing stages shaped the narrative structure of the film well before the cameras rolled. This process allowed the film to move far beyond a simple timeline and focus on meaning, identity, and the journey that brought them to Thailand.
This project was conceived as a complete wedding photo video Phuket experience, designed to document not only the wedding day itself but also the atmosphere, culture, and personal moments that surrounded it. Shot entirely in Thailand, the film blends their wedding celebration in Phuket with scenes lived during the days leading up to it. Sam and Zarah did not want a film that only documented a ceremony. They wanted something that reflected who they are, how they travel, and the way they experience places together.
Part of the film was therefore built around moments that naturally belong to their story in Thailand. One of these sequences takes place in a Muay Thai gym, where Sam trains while Zarah watches and interacts with him. The scene introduces movement, rhythm, and personality into the narrative. Other moments were filmed during motorbike rides across the island, capturing the feeling of freedom that often defines travelling as a couple. The story also unfolds on the water during a private boat cruise filmed at sunset across the Andaman Sea, where the calm atmosphere allowed space for conversation and reflection.
Several scenes were also filmed at the villa where they stayed with their closest friends. These quieter moments create an important contrast with the intensity and emotion of the wedding day itself. The ceremony and the speeches later connect these personal experiences with the presence of their families and friends, bringing depth to the narrative. Everything you see in the film is intentional and connected to the story. Every scene exists because it contributes to the meaning of their journey together. This approach reflects the philosophy behind creating a wedding photo video Phuket production where the wedding becomes the emotional climax of a broader story shaped by travel, shared experiences, and the unique atmosphere of Phuket.

provence wedding photographer
Provence wedding photographer
Refined, timeless wedding imagery,
rooted in genuine human connection.
Originally known for wedding films, I now take on a limited number of wedding photography projects each year.
This approach is rooted in over 12 years of documenting weddings in Provence, the French Riviera and across international destinations. It follows the same principles as my films: emotion, light, and narrative continuity.
Photography is offered as a separate service, allowing full creative focus on one medium per wedding.

A different approach to wedding photography
Most wedding photography focuses on coverage and volume. My approach to Provence wedding photography is built on storytelling, rhythm, and emotional continuity. Each image is captured with intention, not repetition. The goal is not to accumulate thousands of images, but to create a coherent visual narrative where every moment has meaning and contributes to the story of your day. This results in a refined and timeless collection of photographs that feel natural, immersive, and deeply personal.
Provence wedding photographer with a narrative sensibility
As a Provence wedding photographer working across the South of France, I document weddings with a discreet and observational approach. My work is often sought by couples looking for wedding photographers in Provence who value authenticity and atmosphere. My approach is also shaped by a cinematic vision of photography, where light, composition, and visual storytelling play a central role. I focus on real interactions, natural light, emotional timing, composition and atmosphere. This creates a balance between documentary authenticity and editorial precision, with an aesthetic shaped by cinema, which defines my work as a Provence wedding photographer.

Provence wedding photographer, sincere and timeless images.
Wedding photography in Provence, French Riviera
Provence offers a distinctive environment for wedding photography, shaped by light, texture and landscape. This is why Provence wedding photography is known for its natural elegance and timeless atmosphere. From the soft tones of the Luberon to the structured scenery of the Alpilles, each location brings a specific visual identity. As a wedding photographer in Provence, I regularly work in:
-
- Gordes, Roussillon, Lourmarin
- Les Baux-de-Provence, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence
- Aix-en-Provence and surrounding estates
- the French Riviera, including Nice, Cannes and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat
The region is known for its golden light, mineral textures and refined architecture, creating ideal conditions for natural, elegant and timeless imagery, often sought after in Provence wedding photography.
Documentary and editorial styles
Wedding photography can be approached through two complementary directions.
-
- Documentary coverage captures the day as it naturally unfolds, without staging or interruption. It focuses on genuine moments, subtle gestures, and the rhythm of real life.
- Editorial photography introduces a more structured visual language, inspired by fashion and cinema. It enhances composition, light, and presence, with minimal and thoughtful direction when needed.
Together, these approaches create a Provence wedding photography style that is both sincere and visually refined.
Recognised for a cinematic and narrative approach
My work has been recognised internationally through wedding filmmaking and featured on curated platforms dedicated to high-end and destination weddings. This experience directly informs my work as a Provence wedding photographer today, with a strong emphasis on:
-
- storytelling structure
- visual coherence
- emotional depth
- timeless aesthetics

Provence wedding photographer, natural and emotion-filled images.
Destination weddings in Provence
Many couples travel from the US, UK and Asia to get married in Provence and across the South of France, searching for experienced wedding photographers in Provence. Working with destination weddings requires more than visual sensitivity. It involves understanding logistics, culture and timing across multi-day events. This includes:
- adapting to different cultures and expectations
- working closely with planners and international vendors
- understanding multi-day wedding structures
- maintaining a calm, discreet and reliable presence
This ensures the photography remains fluid, natural and aligned with the overall experience expected from a Provence wedding photographer.

A simple and seamless process
The process is designed to be clear, structured and unobtrusive.
-
- Initial call to understand your vision and expectations
- Light guidance before the wedding when needed
- Discreet presence throughout the day
- Careful editing and curated delivery
Each step is designed to preserve the natural flow of your wedding while ensuring a consistent and refined final result in line with high-end Provence wedding photography standards. This ensures the photography remains fluid, natural and aligned with the overall experience expected from a Provence wedding photographer.
Is this approach right for you
This approach is designed for couples who value emotion over volume, prefer natural and unposed moments, appreciate a refined and timeless aesthetic, want a discreet and reassuring presence.
It may not be the right fit if you are looking for very high volume coverage, heavily staged or directed photography, fast and trend-driven edits.
If you are planning a wedding in Provence or the South of France and are looking for a Provence wedding photographer, you can share your vision and details below.

I offer several photographic approaches, ranging from classic documentary reportage to a more editorial or cinematic approach, depending on your sensibility. On average, a wedding reportage includes between 600 and 1600 carefully selected and edited images, designed to tell the story of your day in a complete and coherent way, without multiplying unnecessary photographs. The goal is to deliver a strong collection of images, faithful to your wedding and intended to stand the test of time.
Based in Lambesc, I travel throughout Provence: Aix-en-Provence, Marseille, Avignon, the Luberon, the Alpilles, as well as the French Riviera (Nice, Cannes, Toulon), and beyond, both in France and internationally.
It is recommended to book your wedding photographer 12 to 18 months in advance for peak season dates, between May and September. Weddings organized on weekdays or outside the main season generally offer more availability. Some dates may occasionally become available at the last minute; feel free to contact me to learn more.
Yes, aerial imagery can be included when conditions and regulations allow it. I work with professional drone pilots based in Provence and on the French Riviera, in order to bring a complementary perspective and highlight the locations and landscapes surrounding your wedding.
Yes, I am a destination wedding photographer and filmmaker. I have captured weddings in Costa Rica, Thailand, the United States, Morocco, Italy, Spain, Greece, and many other countries. A strong understanding of light, timing and human interaction is essential. Beyond technical skill, the ability to anticipate moments and remain discreet is what defines a refined Provence wedding photographer.

Nestled in the heart of the French Alps, Lucy and Henrik’s wedding was a breathtaking blend of elegance, intimacy, and adventure. As a Courchevel Meribel wedding videographer, capturing their love story against the backdrop of snow-covered peaks was nothing short of magical.
THE DAY BEFORE – A LOVE STORY IN THE MOUNTAINS
Before the big day, we spent the afternoon at Lac de Tueda, where Lucy and Henrik shared their journey as a couple. Their laughter, their memories, and the way they spoke about each other made it clear—this was a love built on deep connection and admiration.

An elopement in Sicily
Some weddings are grand, while others are deeply personal. Nicoletta and Connor chose the latter. As their wedding videographer Sicily, I had the incredible honor of capturing a day filled with raw emotion and unparalleled beauty. Their elopement was a celebration of their journey together, a private moment shared just between the two of them, far from the bustling world of their home in the United States.
The day before their wedding, the couple embarked on a boat cruise along the stunning coastline of Taormina. It was a perfect way to begin their intimate celebration, surrounded by the blue Mediterranean and the iconic cliffs of Sicily. The serenity of the sea set the tone for what was to come: a wedding that felt both timeless and deeply personal.
Their wedding took place at the stunning Villa Paradiso, Messina in northern Sicily, a 500 years old venue that seemed to mirror the elegance and simplicity of their love story. As their wedding videographer Sicily, I was able to capture every glance, every quiet moment, and every joyful tear as they exchanged their vows in a setting that felt straight out of a dream. The villa’s lush gardens and classic architecture provided the perfect backdrop for their intimate ceremony.
Nicoletta and Connor’s decision to marry alone, in such a breathtaking place, reflected their journey as a couple. They had been through so much together, and this moment was just for them—a testament to the strength of their bond. As a wedding videographer Sicily, it was an unforgettable experience to witness such a heartfelt and authentic celebration of love.

The couple, along with their closest family members, enjoyed an unforgettable day surrounded by the beauty of the Mediterranean coast.
